Voice-based biometric solutions startup InCights raises angel funding from Anand Lunia, others

Hyderabad-based voice based biometric solutions startup InCights Mobile Solutions Pvt Ltd has raised close to Rs 1 crore ($160,000) in angel funding from a group of investors including Anand Lunia of early stage investment firm IndiaQuotient, according to  Iamwire.

The company’s B2B solution enables businesses to replace their passwords with voice-based authentication security system.

Founded in 2010 by Varun Chandra, InCights Mobile was one of the finalists of the Microsoft Bizsparks and is supported by the Indian Angel Network. This capital will be utilised for expanding its reach outside India and to develop new services for the gaming and entertainment sector. Chandra, founder & CEO, InCights Mobile was a business research analyst at IIMA Telecom Centre of Excellence and before that worked at Tata Consultancy Services as strategic account manager. 

The company offers voice biometrics services using a person’s voice as the unique identifier, enabling real-time identity verification. It verifies a speaker with a voice application such as IVR or a mobile app.The service can be used to provide protection against identity theft, protected access to information, secure login for remote workers, secure automated authentication, call center transactions or mobile commerce connections.
