Viithiisys Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a boutique IT consulting and services company, said on Friday it has acquired on-demand application development startup Actiwate.
The deal will help Chandigarh-based Viithiisys expand its product portfolio and list of clients, CEO Gaurav Saini said in the statement.
“This acquisition will help us build a robust and experience-oriented product with the potency to give voice to the people in the visitor management platform,” he said.
Viithiisys didn't disclose financial details of the deal.
Actiwate, operated by Delhi-based Partiko Services Pvt. Ltd, was founded in June 2016 by Amanjot Malhotra. It has developed about 60 software products for various multinational companies as well as startups. With more than 20 active products, the company claims to be profitable. Malhotra will exit the company after the acquisition and act as an adviser.
According to the statement, the acquisition was the result of Actiwate’s need to scale up their operations and Viithiisys' need for an experienced product management team for its visitor management software product Vizitor.
Vizitor allows companies to keep track of all their guest visitors and maintain secure data analytics of their visitors, according to the Viithiisys website.
The statement said that the global visitor management software market is projected to reach about $6.3 billion by 2025, growing at a compound annual pace of 15%.
The major factor driving the growth of the visitor management software market is the need for paperless administration owing to the ease of maintaining data, the statement said.
