Original4Sure (O4S), a supply chain platform that operates on a software-as-a-service model, has raised $2.1 million (Rs 14.35 crore at current exchange rates) in a pre-Series A funding from existing investor Venture Highway.
O4S, operated by Evato Technology Pvt. Ltd, said in a statement it will use the capital to expand its operations, strengthen its workforce, acquire more clients and build its technology infrastructure.
The startup’s cloud-based platform provides its clients with insights and allows them to control their downstream supply chain.
“In the past year, we have tracked over 500 million unique products across 100,000 retailers in general trade,” co-founder and chief executive officer Divay Kumar said.
Venture Highway founder Samir Sood said the firm was confident about its investment in the startup. “It has been successful in winning key contracts with large marquee brands within a short span of time,” he said.
O4S was founded in 2016 by Kumar and Shreyans Sipani. It received seed funding of about $400,000 the following year from Venture Highway and some other investors.
The company, which is headquartered in Gurugram, is also setting up offices in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The company’s offerings include the eponymous Original4Sure and Supplytics, which are supported by machine learning processes. The platforms offer features such as product verification, real-time inventory tracking, and loyalty programme management for retailers and distributors.
According to its website, O4S has worked with companies such as ITC, PepsiCo, Honeywell and DCM Shriram.
Venture Highway says it provides capital and guidance to early-stage companies and entrepreneurs. Its portfolio includes companies such as payments and credits record-keeper OkCredit, online marketplace for resellers Meesho and industrial goods marketplace Moglix.
