International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP has announced the launch of its South Asia practice. The new practice will be headed by Nixon Peabody Government Investigations and White Collar Defense partner Anjali Chaturvedi. She will lead a team of 20 lawyers which will assist the existing clients based in south Asia.
Nixon Peabody advises clients in South Asia in areas such as arbitration and dispute resolution, banking and capital markets, M&A, private equity, venture capital and joint ventures, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, franchising, infrastructure, intellectual property, and labor and employment. In addition to India, the team would focus on current and new business opportunities in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal.
