UK’s OCS Group, an international facilities services provider in about 40 countries, has strengthened its India business by taking a minority stake in Mumbai-headquartered Central Investigation & Security Services Ltd (CISS), a manpower guarding and security business company. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This venture is a key part of our growth plan for India. It combines CISS established business with OCS’s international experience in delivering security solutions and our class-leading systems,” said Heather Suksem, CEO, South Asia, South East Asia and Middle East for OCS Group.

“I feel there is enormous opportunity to jointly leverage the existing CISS businesses with the new OCS facilities management business,” said Ramesh Pimple, chairman CISS.

This follows OCS acquiring Indian engineering and housekeeping companies last year.

It acquired Mumbai-based Radiant Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd, a facility management services company, for Rs 30-35 crore and invested about Rs 125 core ($24.5 million) to pick 51 per cent stake in Absotherm Facility Management Services Pvt Ltd, a home grown facility management company early last year.
