U2opia Mobile looking to invest in mobile-focused startups, says co-founder Sumesh Menon

Singapore-based mobile value-added services firm U2opia Mobile Pte. Ltd rolled out a launchpad accelerator programme, christened Catapult, for startups in India in June.

Through the programme the company plans to invest over $3 million in the next three years in mobile-focused ventures. The startups will also be given access to technology infrastructure, working space, brand and marketing support, management and financial cover, and can also leverage on U2opia Mobile’s global reach.

In a conversation with TechCircle, U2opia co-founder Sumesh Menon talks about the Catapult programme and the focus areas for making investments.
