TVS Capital Funds Ltd (TCF), a domestic private equity firm, has roped in GV Kumar as its executive director, according to a press release. He will operate from company's Chennai office and the appointment is effective from January 16, 2015.
Kumar, who has almost two decades of investing experience in sector-agnostic PE funds, was earlier a partner with Aureos India where he was responsible for all aspects of investment management. He had quit Aureos in September 2013.
Prior to that, he worked with ICICI Ventures as VP - investments for nine years, where he managed transactions across pharmaceuticals, auto components, engineering, retailing and internet sectors.
He obtained a post graduate diploma in management from IIM Bangalore and is a mechanical engineering degree from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.

TVS Capital Fund, which was founded in September 2007, manages TVS Shriram Growth Fund, having more than Rs 1,100 crore assets under management in domestic rupee fund across two Schemes - 1A and 1B. It targets investments across consumer consumption and business services sectors, such as health care delivery, food & agri, retail, education, hospitality, FMCG, restaurants, facilities management, institutional catering and security.
