LabVantage solutions, the laboratry informatics arm of TCG Lifesciences has acquired the SQL*LIMS business from Applied Biosystems, a part of Life Technologies Corporation (LTC) for an undisclosed amount.

LTC is a global biotechnology tools company providing premier systems, consumables, and services for scientific researchers around the world.

The acquisition is a part of TCG Lifesciences' global expansion plans to increase its base in the laboratary informatics market.

Commenting on the deal, TCG Lifesciences Founder Chairman, Purnendu Chairman said, "This also facilitates LabVantage's growth in the forenscics and human identification markets and bolsters the strategic expansion plans of TGC Lifesciences."
