In the 20th episode of TC Show Off, a weekly show that provides startups a platform to showcase themselves, their business models, the core USP etc., VantageCircle.com’s co-founder Partha Neog showcased how the platform can connect various brands with corporate employees.
VantageCircle is an online privilege portal for employees who can engage with various brands for exclusive deals, mailers, contests, surveys, polls etc.
“On this platform, we have a range of exclusive privileges across varied categories and segments, offered to employees — be it dining, holidays, hospitals, utilities or insurance. These are specially personalised and customised as per the employee demographics, usage and preferences,” said Neog.
The company claims that the platform has a user-base of over 300,000 employees from top companies in India such as HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Aricent, GE, MuSigma, Capgemini, Ericsson, Bausch & Lomb, and Encore. On the brands’ side, it provides deals from Samsung, Tata motors, BMW, Lufthansa, Bajaj Allianz, etc.
The firm claims that it has seen a 5x increase in revenue in the past seven months, and is planning to launch a mobile app by August next year.
Varun Chawla, co-founder of 91springboard, feels that VantageCircle is not a unique idea, and it requires the startup to have an awesome execution to break out of the mix. However, he added that the startup has caught the hook by going to the corporates first, and providing their services to employees at no additional cost.
“Since corporates are empowered users with financial capability, network and virality, it could work well with the brands. It is an interesting challenge, but very scalable,” said Chawla.
