Chennai-based TAKE Solutions, a business technology company focussed on lifesciences and supply chain management, has acquired UK-based WCI Consulting Group, a lifesciences consulting firm, for an undisclosed amount.
For TAKE, the acquisition of WCI Consulting establishes a presence in Europe, a market previously served remotely by the firm. This will help TAKE establish capabilities in patient safety and business consulting.
“In addition to extensive life sciences and pharmacovigilance domain expertise, WCI brings with it in excess of 10 years of robust professional relationships across Europe and the US. This plugs a major gap in TAKE Solutions’ global reach and opens up the European market for us,” Ram Yeleswarapu, President & CEO, TAKE Solutions said.
The transaction was facilitated by DBS Bank India.
Founded in 1986, Hampshire-based WCI received investment from ECI Partners in 2002. It has a strategic alliance with Sidley Austin LLP, the leading provider of legal services in drug safety in the USA, EU, and China.
