Startup services aggregator Startup Monk, which is operated by Decodeentre Innovations Pvt Ltd, has acqui-hired college-focussed Instipreneur, according to a report.

In response to emailed queries, Startup Monk founder Sivesh Kumar confirmed the report, saying that the two companies have been in talks for the last two months.

Instipreneur, set up by Indian Institute of Technology-Madras student Shree Pandey earlier this year, says it works with over 100 college entrepreneurship departments, investors and incubation cells to promote the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem in educational institutions.

As part of this acqui-hire, Pandey will join the company along with his other team members, Ankur Kumar, Nandini Manwani, Gayatri Chickermane, and Samruddhi Mokal, The Economic Times reported.

Separately, Pandey said the move will let Instipreneur’s team work with mature companies and first-time founders. “Our long-term goal is to make Startup Monk a one-stop scam-free space for early-stage entrepreneurs,” he added, per The Economic Times report.

Kumar, who set up Startup Monk in 2018, is an alumnus of Delhi University and the National Institute of Management Studies, according to his LinkedIn profile.

According to its website, the company says its platform brings together stakeholders in the startup ecosystem including investors, services providers, co-working spaces, and incubators and accelerators. It provides services including helping with pitch decks, fundraising advisory, business plan consulting, and networking with investors.

Startup Monk says it has partnered with institutions including IIT-Bombay, IIIT-Bhubaneswar, and the Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Centre at NMIMS.
