Startup India is a work in progress, open to modifying policies: DIPP’s Ramesh Abhishek

It’s been six months since the government announced the Startup India action plan. A lot has been talked about since then and the government has received criticism as well as appreciation for the ambitious initiative. 

In an exclusive interview with VCCircle, Ramesh Abhishek, secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, which manages the initiative, talks about the feedback the government has received from the startup community and what steps DIPP is taking to make it better. 

Abhishek said the Startup India initiative is a work in progress and the department is open to making modifications in the policies based on the feedback it gets.
