Spice Digital Ltd (SDL), a subsidiary of Spice Mobility Ltd, has acquired 38.53 per cent stake in privately held Anytime Learning Pvt Ltd, a firm which provides online higher education services besides owning an online job assessment property Common Job Test, for an undisclosed amount.
Anytime Learning provides online higher education services coupled with campus learning under the name of Sunstone Business School. Sunstone Business School was co-founded by Rajul Garg, co-founder of offshore R&D venture GlobalLogic.
On the other hand, Common Job Test seems to be inactive at present and its founders had quit the venture long time back.
Three years ago Dilip Modi, a part of the promoter family of Spice Group, had made personal investment in Anytime Learning.
It is not clear if Spice Mobility has acquired fresh shares of the firm or bought the stake held by one or more existing investors.
An email query sent to Anytime Learning seeking information on its business, did not elicit any response.
The website of the company, however, mentions about a programme called post graduate programme in management under which it offers online class discussions and Web-based tutorials.
The students are supposed to be physically present at the campus only once a month when they engage in networking, workshops, etc.
Spice Mobility promoters are also making a voluntary delisting offer.
