Smart Software backs Bangalore-based crowd testing startup Crowd4Test

US-based Smart Software Testing Solutions Inc. (SSTS) has invested an undisclosed amount in Crowd4Test.com, a Bangalore-based crowd testing and user experience testing startup.

Founded by Ranganadh Damera in 2015, Crowd4Test offers testing of apps, websites, and desktop software by an online community. It claims to have over 100 customers and more than 2,000 testers globally.

SSTS will integrate its mobile device cloud platform, pCloudy, and its artificial intelligence-powered mobile app testing platform with Crowd4Test.com, the company said in a press statement.

As part of the deal, SSTS co-founder and director Avinash Tiwari will join the Crowd4Test.com board.

SSTS, an automated product testing company, was founded in 2015 by Tiwari, along with Pankaj Goel and Lalit Jain. The company has two software-as-a-service products, OpKey and pCloudy. OpKey is a test automation product that simplifies mobile app testing while pCloudy, which SSTS acquired in February 2016, targets the full testing lifecycle of mobile application software.

According to the company, the two products cumulatively serve over 200 customers, including Accenture, Honeywell, and Reliance Jio.

“By combining our mobile device cloud and AI-powered app certification engine with over 2,000 strong global community of testers at Crowd4Test, we are positioned to serve mobile testing needs for all segments of our customers from DIY to real user beta testing and A/B testing” Tiwari said.

SSTS had raised $1 million in pre-Series A funding from YourNest Angel Fund and other angel investors in February last year.
