The VCCircle Network is proud to announce Ms Roopa Kudva, partner and managing director at Omidyar Network India Advisors, as the chairperson of the jury for the fifth edition of VCCircle Awards.
Roopa will head a jury that comprises Gopal Srinivasan, Ireena Vittal, Anjali Bansal and Valerie Rozycki Wagoner.
At Omidyar, Roopa helps manage and develop the India-based portfolio across core initiatives by leading overall investment strategy and operations. Prior to joining Omidyar, Roopa spent 23 years with CRISIL and was its managing director and CEO from 2007. She led CRISIL's transformation from being Indiaâs premier ratings firm into a diversified analytics company. Under her leadership the company's market capitalisation grew four-fold and revenue tripled.
Roopa also worked for Standard & Poor's, Paris, as director, financial institutions ratings. She is regularly featured in the media as a prominent woman leader in corporate India. She has served as a member of several policy-level committees relating to the Indian financial system, and is an independent director on the board of Infosys, one of India's most respected software companies.
The award ceremony will be held on the evening of March 9 on the sidelines of VCCircleâs flagship India Limited Partners Summit at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The awards will be given in 12 categories this year. To view the award categories, click here.
