Noida-based HMS Infotech Pvt Ltd, which owns and operates Hotelogix, a SaaS-based property management system (PMS) for small and medium scale hotels, has secured $1.8 million in fresh funding from existing investor Accel Partners, with participation from Bangalore-based early-and-growth-stage VC fund Saama Capital, sources privy to the development told VCCircle.
The proceedings from this round will be used to create awareness and drive adoption of cloud PMS technology, in addition to increase its user base, one of the sources revealed.
When contacted for more details, Hotelogix co-founder and CEO Aditya Sanghi declined to comment.
In November last year, Sanghi had told Techcircle.in that Hotelogix was looking for fresh capital to expand in overseas markets and scale up its product offerings.
The firm had earlier raised $1.2 million led by Accel Partners, with participation from Blume Ventures and Mumbai Angels in April 2012.
Hotelogix was founded in 2008 by Prabhash Bhatnagar and Sanghi. It offers a unified approach to meet functions like front-desk operations, housekeeping and restaurant operations at hotels. It is targeted at budget and mid-market hotels as well as hotel chains, motels, resorts, boutique hotels, service apartments, bed-and-breakfasts and hostels.
Hotelogix also integrates with travel agent networks and external booking sites, providing a wider inventory distribution along with real-time integration with partner sites, group booking sites, and other central reservation systems. Hotelogix claims that its product is used in over 75 countries including the US, the UK, Mexico, Spain, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
