Advertising technology firm Vdopia Media and Software Solutions Pvt Ltd's senior vice-president, APAC, Preetesh Chouhan has put in his papers. At Vdopia, Chouhan's responsibility included expanding the company's footprint in South East Asia, besides fuelling overall growth, both organic and inorganic.
Vdopia co-founder and CEO Saurabh Bhatia confirmed the news to VCCircle in an email reply.
Vdopia Inc is headquartered in Silicon Valley, with three other offices in the US. It also has presence in India at Gurgaon and Mumbai as part of its Asia Pacific business. The firm's Asia Pacific presence also includes offices in Sydney and Singapore.
Chouhan, who is currently serving his notice period, is looking at floating his own startup â a mobile design lab by April this year. He will soon re-locate to Bangalore. This is his last month at the company, a person with privy to his plans said. An email query to Chouhan went unanswered.
Chouhan, who has spent close to four years in Vdopia, joined the firm in 2012 as vice-president and sales head for APAC region.
Prior to joining Vdopia, Chouhan was national head, ad sales at SIFY Technologies Pvt Ltd.
Chouhan, who started his career as a senior account executive at indiainfo.com has worked in several companies including Indya.com Portal Pvt Ltd, and AOL LLC.
Set up in 2008 by Stanford and IIT graduates Chhavi Upadhyay, Srikanth Kakani and Saurabh Bhatia, Vdopia has offices in Mumbai and Gurgaon (Delhi NCR) in India. It raised $4 million from Nexus Venture Partners in October 2009. The Bangalore-based fund had also infused an undisclosed seed amount into the firm in December 2008. Vdopia also raised more in its Series B funding round four years ago.
