Venture debt investments in India have picked up pace over the past three years, and 2019 is turning out to be more hectic. All the main venture debt investors have either raised or are raising capital to make investments while startups both big and small are lapping up these cheques.

Innoven Capital, Trifecta Capital, Alteria Capital and Stride Ventures are the main players in the market while Flipart co-founder Sachin Bansal is also making debt investments.

Meanwhile, companies across sectors from digital lender Lendingkart to health-tech venture Practo and online grocer BigBasket have raised venture debt this year.
