Philips India’s Shashidhar Jayaraman Joins Pravi Capital As CFO

Pravi Capital, a Mumbai-based private equity investment advisory firm, has appointed Shashidhar Jayaraman of Philips India as its chief financial officer. Besides working with its portfolio companies, he will also supervise fund accounting and investor reporting at Pravi Capital.

In his previous stint as CFO with Philips India’s healthcare division, Jayaraman was in charge of business planning, and worked closely with the corporate team to implement funding solutions for key customers. He was also involved in post-merger integration activities of the domestic subsidiaries, acquired by Philips in the healthcare space.

Jayaraman started his career with ITC Ltd and worked with Pepsico India Holdings for more than a decade. During his stint with Pepsico, he had gained exposure in acquisitions, strategic planning, accounting and business planning, and worked as the CFO of its south market unit between 2003 and 2005.

In 2005, Jayaraman decided to move on and became the CFO of Infomedia 18 Ltd, a listed company. Here, he was responsible for tax, treasury, legal and investor relations, besides leading accounting and business planning. He was also involved in two overseas and domestic acquisitions in the publishing services space and the subsequent restructuring and merger of these entities.

Jayaraman is a fellow member of ICAI, besides being an associate member of ICSI and ICWAI.
