Venture capital-backed Myntra.com, an online retail platform for gifts, has roped in London Business School faculty member John Mullins as an independent director.
An associate professor of management practice at London Business School, Mullins is also a regular visiting faculty at the Indian School of Business and an expert on venture capital and private equity investing in India.
“Myntra has been working steadily towards creating a personalisation culture in India. Mullins’ participation strengthens our belief in the concept and its potential," said Mukesh Bansal, CEO of Myntra.
Myntra sells products like T-shirts, mugs, greeting cards, calendars, key-chains and diaries. In November 2008, Myntra raised $5 million in series A funding from NEA-IndoUS Ventures, IDG Ventures and Accel Partners. Earlier, it had received seed funding from Accel Partners (formerly Erasmic Venture Fund) and a few other angel investors in October 2007.
