Talent management services major Mercer India has named Preeti Chandrashekhar as India business leader for benefits, it said in a release.
Chadrashekhar has joined Mercer from Willis Towers Watsons where she was working as consulting leader for employee benefits for South India and Sri Lanka.
She has expertise in global benefits harmonisation and management, trust governance and compliance, mergers and acquisitions and actuarial services.
Mercer is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NYSE-listed professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies.
âThis (benefits leader) is an important domain for Mercer across our retirement and health lines of business, and I am looking forward to Preeti focusing on expanding our footprint in the market by bringing more of Mercerâs innovative solutions to our clients here,â Anish Sarkar, country leader, Mercer India, said in the statement.
Preeti holds M Sc and M Phil in statistics from University of Delhi. She is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India.
Mercer is a talent, health, retirement and investment consulting firm and employs over 20,000 people in more than 40 countries. On the other side, Marsh & McLennan Companies has 57,000 employees worldwide with annual revenues exceeding $13 billion.
It is also the parent of Marsh, an insurance broking and risk management.
