Full-service law firm Link Legal India Law Services said Tuesday it will acqui-hire Chennai-based boutique compliance and litigation practice firm SD Services.
The transaction will help Link Legal add the compliance audit and management practice to its bouquet of services, the firm said in a statement.
This practice will add to the firm’s capability by providing assistance to its clients in compliances and also in transaction support services to all verticals of the firm. This merger will also strengthen the regional practice in Chennai for Link Legal with corporate and commercial partners, the firm said.
“This joining of hands will go a long way in assisting the firm in improving the quality of its services to its clients, particularly the transactional work and general corporate commercial practice,” said Atul Sharma, managing partner at Link Legal.
As part of the acqui-hire, SD Services founder Prasanta Sahu and team member Rajan Dubey will join Link Legal as partners, a report by Legally India said.
Sahu is a law graduate with an MBA and export management degree specialising in industrial, labour, environment, health and safety legislations. Dubey is a law graduate specialising in ‘risk and control’ domain with more than 12 years of work experience.
Sahu said, “Our customised technological platform will bring in speed and efficiency while transaction teams will add the analytical component to provide accurate and wholesome solutions to the clients.”
