Full-service law firm L&L Partners has hired a partner from Krishnamurthy & Co. (K Law) to join its mergers and acquisitions and private equity practice, according a report by Bar & Bench.

Arjun Rajgopal, who was working with K Law till July, joined L&L as a partner in August, according to his LinkedIn profile.

According to a report in India Business Law Journal, Rajgopal said the move to L&L would allow him to work with clients such as The Carlyle Group, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, apart from his own clients.

A graduate of the National Law School of India University, Rajgopal has also worked with firms such as Nishith Desai Associates and Khaitan & Co.  

He has advised on PE and venture capital investments in various sectors including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, renewable energy and aviation, according to the India Business Law Journal. He has also worked on vertical and horizontal M&A expansions as well as sale of businesses and assets.

L&L, formerly known as Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, was set up in 1991. It has a team of over 350 counsels including 73 partners. The firm has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

L&L offers advice on matters such as anti-corruption and compliance, banking and finance, capital markets, competition and anti-trust law, dispute resolution including litigation and arbitration, among others.
