Sanjay Nayar, CEO of global alternative investment giant KKR's India office, has taken over as executive chairman of Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA). The industry body has also elected Gopal Srinivasan, chairman and managing director of TVS Capital, as the vice-chairman.
As per the norm, the vice-chairman automatically takes over as chairman of the committee the following year. The executive committee, however, is elected for two years.
The new executive committee also comprises Munish Dayal (partner, Baring Private Equity Partners India), D Muthukumaran (CEO at Aditya Birla Private Equity), Shankar Narayanan (managing director & co-head of Asia, Carlyle Growth Private Equity Business), Padmanabh Sinha (managing partner at Tata Capital) and S Srinath (CEO of Oman India Joint Investment Fund).
Founded in 1993, Delhi-based IVCA serves as a platform for investment funds to interact with each other. Its members comprise venture capital and private equity firms, institutional investors, banks, incubators, angel groups, corporate advisors, accountants, lawyers and other service providers in the industry.
