Law firm Khaitan & Co has inducted Deepto Roy, Mohit Abraham and GT Thomas Phillippe, who are co-founders of New Delhi-based PXV Law Partners, as associate partners.
PXV Law Partners was founded in 2008 by Rohit Das and Pingal Khan as RDA Legal. The firm, which got renamed as PXV in 2011, is a legal advisory services provider that offers transnational and litigation support services in Indian civil, corporate and commercial laws.
Eight of PXV's associates will also join Khaitan & Co after a recruitment process.
Roy is based in Mumbai specialising in infrastructure while Phillippe and Abraham have joined Delhi corporate and litigation teams, respectively.
Roy has a decade of experience in energy, infrastructure and project finance while Abraham has experience in advising clients on constitutional law and intellectual property law.
Both Roy and Abraham worked with Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co before co-founding PXV.
Phillippe has represented clients on transactions in sectors including seed development, food processing, manufacturing, defence and retail. He also has experience in advising on domestic and cross border M&As, JVs, venture capital and private equity deals.
Khaitan & Co offers full service legal solutions to clients in India and abroad. The firm has over 350 lawyers across its offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.
Last year, the firm appointed Sudhir Bassi, who was Morgan Stanley India’s managing director and head of corporate finance (Mumbai), as executive director. It has also promoted two principal associates as associate partners at its Mumbai office while three principal associates at the Delhi office have been promoted as associate partners.
