Kerala-based IT company QBurst Technologies has sold its Polish arm to TenderHut SA for an undisclosed amount.

QBurst Poland was the development division of QBurst Technologies, an IT company that also has centres across Kochi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.

QBurst Technologies did not specify any reasons for selling its development arm.

This merger would help TenderHut’s development arm, Softwarehut, create the largest IT company in eastern Poland and consolidate the IT market in the region, the Polish company said in a statement.

“The takeover makes the TenderHut Group the biggest IT company with headquarters in Bialystok,” said TenderHut COO Robert Strzelecki.

With this merger, Tenderhut would be able to offer additional services in machine learning, Internet of Things and virtual and augmented reality, the company said.

QBurst Poland offers services that include development of mobile and web applications, IT infrastructure management, search engine optimisation, cloud applications, business intelligence and analytics. It serves companies in the e-commerce, manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment and financial industries, TenderHut said.

QBurst Technologies was founded in 2004 by three software professionals—Prathapan Sethu, Binu Dasappan and Ansar Shihabuddin, according to its website. In June 2016, it opened its second office in Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram, increasing its workforce to around 1,200 employees.
