Law firm J Sagar Associates (JSA) has elected seven partners to form its executive committee (excom) for the next three years, it said. This will be effective from September 1, 2015.
It includes one member from its Bangalore team and the remaining six are from Delhi, Mumbai and Gurgaon, having two members from each city. Of seven-member team, two are female partners.
These include Amit Kapur, Amitabh Kumar, Dina Wadia, Murali Ananthasivan, Shivpriya Nanda, Somasekhar Sundaresan and Venkatesh R Prasad.
Berjis Desai, senior partner at JSA, will continue to chair excom until his retirement on March 31, 2017. He is specialised in private equity and dispute resolution, banking & finance, corporate compliance, anti-corruption & investigations.
Kapur, who has been with the firm since 1997, became partner in 2000 and got selected for the committee for the third time. He was on excom for three years until 2010 and voted into the committee again in 2013. He is based out of the firm's Delhi office.
Kumar, Sundaresan and Prasad are new entrants in excom while the rest have been with the committee for the last three years.
JSA has a pan-India presence and employs more than 350 lawyers and consultants, including over 80 partners.
