Singapore-based retinal diagnostic startup Leben Care Technologies Pte. Ltd has raised angel funding from Inflection Point (IP) Ventures.
The startup said in a statement it will use the funding to upgrade its product and sales and marketing team. It did not disclose the amount it raised.
Leben Care was founded in 2016 by Nitin Srivastava, Theenathayalan Parthasarathy and Imran Akthar
Its flagship product -- Netra.AI -- enables automated analysis of retina image using AI algorithms to avoid blindnes. The platform helps in conducting basic screening with minimal intervention from specialists.
Leben Care currently has presence in India, Japan, Singapore, Africa and Australia through partnerships with distributors and ophthalmology centers.
Nitin Srivastava, co-founder and chief executive officer at Leben care, said, “We are on a mission to fight avoidable blindness using AI and hope to make this technology available to millions who struggle to get access to basic screening”.
“Our platform Netra.ai is intended to be the go-to place for all ophthalmology related AI solutions," he added.
A sub-initiative of CXO Genie, IP ventures is a community of chief financial officers and senior professional. It was founded in 2017 by nine CFOs and finance professionals hailing from startups such as Myntra, BookMyShow and Grofers. The by-invitation-only network connects the investor community with startups.
Its other investments include Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) startup Syook and chat-based task management services provider Wishup.
