Infotech Enterprises Ltd has elevated Krishna Bodanapu as managing director and chief executive officer, the company announced in a stock market disclosure. The elevation is subject to the approval of the members of the forthcoming annual general meeting.
BVR Mohan Reddy, promoter of the company and presently chairman & managing director, has been appointed as executive chairman of the firm.
Bodanapu, who joined Infotech Enterprises in 2001, as a sales manager in Europe, was president and chief operating officer prior to this promotion. In that role, he was managing all business operations, including delivery, sales, marketing, strategy and organisational excellence.
He was also responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and extending current service offerings to new markets. He held other roles too as marketing manager and key account manager.
Before, Infotech Enterprises, Bodanapu was with Altera Corporation, a leading semiconductor manufacturer in San Jose, California.
He obtained his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Infotech Enterprises primarily caters to utility, transportation and government segments (UT&C); provides engineering design services for manufacturing and industrial products verticals and offers software services to clients in data & technology fields, engineering design and IT services space.
The firm is backed by Carlyle, General Atlantic and ChrysCap and ended the third quarter with revenues of Rs 578 crore with net profit of Rs 69.4 crore.
The company has also appointed former chairman of IT industry body NASSCOM Som Mittal as an independent director.
