HSA Advocates has hired Geeta Saha as a partner at its Mumbai office, the law firm announced on Wednesday. Saha, who has over 15 years of legal experience, specialises in banking, finance, infrastructure, and real estate.
Previously, Saha was a managing partner at GS Associates, Advocates & Attorneys, where she headed banking and infrastructure project finance. Saha, who has also been a partner at DH Law Associates and P&P Legal, is a graduate of Delhi University.
News of the hire comes less than a month after Delhi-based DLS Law Offices, which specialises in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and insolvency, among others, merged itself with HSA. DLS founder and managing partner Dipti Lavya Swain was made a partner of the merged entity.
In November 2018, HSA appointed Apoorva Misra as a partner and Shreshth Sharma and Nitish Gupta as associate partners in its regulatory, policy disputes and practice areas. In September that year, the firm merged with Atman Law Partners and brought on board as partner the latter’s managing partner and founder Chinmay Mirji.
In March 2018, HSA had hired Link Legal’s Rajdeep Choudhury as partner.
HSA, founded in 2003 by Hemant Sahai, has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. Its practice areas include corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity, banking and finance, projects, infrastructure and energy, taxation, regulation and policy.
