HSA Advocates has named Arun Mani and Avijeet Kumar Lala partners at the law firm, taking the total number to 12 across its four offices.
Mani and Lala are based out of the company’s Delhi office, it said in a statement.
Mani, who has been working with HSA since 2009, is part of the firm’s disputes and infrastructure practice group. Lala, who joined the firm two years ago, belongs to firm’s infrastructure and regulatory practice group.
Mani graduated from Alliance Manchester Business School and earlier worked with Siemens United Kingdom. Lala is an alumnus of Kolkata-based W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences, and worked with Tata Power Company, Trilegal and Khaitan & Co LLP in the past.
HSA also promoted Aniket Prasoon, part of Mani’s team, as associate partner. The law firm now has seven associate partners. It has about 80 attorneys working across its offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
HSA had lost two partners earlier this year when Navin Syiem and Avirup Nag along with five other executives resigned to join IndusLaw. In February, IndusLaw poached RDA Legal partner Avik Biswas along with his four associates.
IndusLaw was the second-largest for private equity and venture capital deals in 2015. It advised online marketplace Snapdeal, cab-hailing firm Ola, hotels aggregator OYO and classifieds site Quikr in their significant funding rounds last year.
