How would a possible Zomato-Swiggy merger impact food-tech space?

Food-tech companies Zomato and Swiggy are reportedly looking at a merger, although both the firms have ruled out any such conversations. If at all the merger goes through, this would create one formidable entity that would be difficult to compete with for any existing food-tech firm. This would also initiate a phase of consolidation in the food-tech segment, possibly impacting the survival prospects of smaller players.
