This week's highlight was messaging app Hike receiving an investment of $175 million in its Series D round from investors led by WeChat parent Tencent and Taiwanese contract electronics manufacturer Foxconn.
Another major deal was a $140 million investment by US private equity firm TA Associates into TCNS Clothing Company Ltd, which runs ‘W’ brand of stores for womenwear.
Of the 12 M&A deals, the biggest ones included a $150 million investment by China's Tidfore Heavy Equipment group into steel company Uttam Galva Metallics and the acquisition of Ash Stevens Inc, a US-based pharmaceutical contract manufacturer, by Piramal Enterprises for up to a $52.95 million.
