Gopal Srinivasan of TVS Capital to be part of VCCircle Awards 2016 jury

The VCCircle Network is delighted to announce Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman and MD of TVS Capital Funds Ltd, as one of the esteemed members of the jury panel for the fifth edition of VCCircle Awards.

Srinivasan is one of four members of the jury; the others being Ireena Vittal, Anjali Bansal and Valerie Rozycki Wagoner. We will be revealing the name of the jury chairperson soon.

Srinivasan is a third-generation family member of the TVS Group, a family controlled automotive conglomerate with $4 billion revenue. He is the founder chairman and MD of TVS Capital Funds, which aims to support and nurture mid-cap India businesses to help them become world-class companies.

He is also the vice chairman of Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.

Srinivasan was the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee for Private Equity and Venture Capital for 2010-11. He was also the chairman of the CII Tamil Nadu State Council for 2007-08. During a career spanning 25 years, Srinivasan has founded several companies in diverse sectors including TVS Capital Funds and TVS Electronics Ltd. He is also a director at TVS & Sons Ltd, the holding company, and at several group companies.

An entrepreneur at heart, Srinivasan is actively involved in the promotion of entrepreneurship as an angel investor. He is a founding member of The Chennai Angels and is closely associated with TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) where he provides guidance to the budding entrepreneurs on incubating businesses.

The award ceremony will be held on the evening of March 9 on the sidelines of VCCircle’s flagship India Limited Partners Summit at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The awards will be given in 12 categories this year. To view the award categories, click here.
