Hemant Kaul, a financial services and insurance veteran, has invested in professional services firm VANS Skilling and Advisory.
VANS was set up by former Ola adviser Srinivas Chunduru. The company partners with firms to provide interim CXO services and operates a research and knowledge centre.
The firm also operates a business school platform, YUGMA, that helps promote collaborations between organisations and educational institutions across geographies.
VANS says it recently closed a pre-Series A round with commitments from investors including former Shriram Housing Finance MD and CEO Sujan Sinha and former Ola Fleet Technologies CEO Sandeep Divakaran.
In a statement, Chunduru said VANS is aiming to leverage and scale its model, as well as increase execution capabilities and methodologies to grow its overall platform.
“Post Covid-19, we see a huge opportunity across organisations to be agile, cost-focused and capabilities-centric,” Kaul said.
He was part of the initial team that set up UTI Bank – now known as Axis Bank – with a focus on its retail division. He has served at various other high-level positions, including as the MD and CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. Kaul currently serves on the board of Ola Financial Services.
