Gurgaon-based Bueno Foods Pvt Ltd which runs and operates Bueno, an on-demand food delivery service has raised $600,000 (Rs 4 crore) in Pre-Series A round from an undisclosed angel investor.

The company will utilise the funds for talent acquisition, technology up-gradation, data analytics, operations, footprint enhancement and marketing.

Bueno was started in 2012 by Rohan Arora, Pankaj Sharma, Vipul Arora and Punit Jain. Rohan and Pankaj are batch-mates from FMS while Vipul Arora and Punit Jain are professional chefs. It works on two types of services currently - on-demand food delivery (Bueno XPRS) in Gurgaon and gourmet catering (Bueno MenuMaker) across Delhi-NCR at a notice of 24 hours.

It has its own kitchen and serves multi-cuisine prepared food on-demand.

The company launched a new website and also plans to launch Android and iOS app in the coming two months. It had also recently launched GPS tracking platform to fasten pick-ups and deliveries. It plans to introduce 24x7 deliveries across Gurgaon and enhanced menu.

Boutique advisory firm Ashoka Advisory Capital advised in the transaction.

Bueno will compete with the likes of Frsh, Faaso's, SpoonJoy, Yumist among several others.
