Cloud-based car servicing app Fixcraft on Wednesday said it has acquired Vogo's automotive spares brand VMotive for an undisclosed amount.

With this acquisition, Fixcraft aims to deepen its play in the Indian post-sales automotive market, which is said to be the third largest in the world at $24 billion.

As part of the deal, V-Motive's team will join Fixcraft, the startup said in a statement.

Founded in 2018 by Vivek Sharma, Abhishek Goyal, and Inderjeet Rao, Fixcraft focuses on car after-sales services.

Unlike the aggregator, the startup owns the customer pipeline end-to-end along with the execution of repair works.

Fixcraft operates in NCR and Bengaluru and plans to expand to 10 metros in the next 12 months.

"VMotive in Fixcraft’s portfolio of offerings makes our play in the post-sales car repair and service segment deeper across the entire value chain. We continue to work towards raising the standards of post sales car repair and service by working for all stakeholders in the industry,” said Vivek Sharma, founder and chief executive officer, Fixcraft.

Founded in 2016 by Anand Ayyadurai and Padmanabhan Balakrishnan, scooter rental startup Vogo is present in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, fulfilling about 50,000 rides daily before Covid-19 struck, severely impacting the shared mobility sector.

In July last year, Fixcraft raised $1 million in pre-Series A funding round led by Ubiquity Capital.

The startup has so far raised $2.5 million.
