Hiring startup Badiyajobs charts growth plan after fundraise

New Delhi-based APN Recruitment Solutions Pvt Ltd, the company that runs and operates Badiyajobs.com, is planning to expand its footprint into new territories and hire aggressively after raising $100K in funding from IIT-Madras alumni in April.

The company has been working towards scaling up operations in Delhi-NCR post the funding, Manoj Bingi, chief operating officer, Badiyajobs, told Techcircle.

Badiyajobs.com is a technology company that enables employers to recruit entry-level job-seekers, such as tele-callers, sales executives, data entry operators, drivers and delivery boys, among others at a click, while assisting job-seekers find best jobs. Badiyajobs charges employers a fee only after successful recruitment.

“We have built role-specific assessment technology which grades jobs-seekers on relevant skill-sets. Using the Android app or by giving a missed call, a job seeker can register himself within minutes. Also, our match-making algorithm shows jobs with high skills, location and salary compatibility so that the job-seeker does not waste time attending irrelevant job interviews,” said Bingi.

Badiyajobs.com was selected as one of the nine global finalists in Google Business Group Story Search under Social Impact category. The competition by Google Business Group recognizes startups across the globe that are using technology extensively in small and medium business, social impact and technology sectors.

The company was founded in September 2015 by Aditya Sriganesh and Nitesh Verma. Sriganesh is a graduate from IIT Madras and has worked as a strategy consultant with management consultancy KPMG. Verma, an IIT Delhi graduate, has worked as a developer at Times Internet. The company later roped in Bingi, a graduate from IIT Delhi, to head operations.

Badiyajobs.com has built a database of over 50,000 jobs and has 100 companies recruiting through its platform. These include Swiggy, Policy Bazaar, UrbanClap and PVR.

Over the next 12 months, the company plans to enter Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. It currently employs 15 people and intends to triple the head count by December 2017.

Bengaluru-based Babajob Services Pvt Ltd, which runs job portal babajobs.com for blue-collar workers, is one of the well-funded startups operating in the same domain as Badiyajobs. In April 2015, it had raised $10 million from Australian company SEEK Ltd.
