Bangalore-based AppPoint Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd has acquired HireCanvas Inc, which delivers a cloud-based solution mostly to firms in the US to help them manage campus recruitment, for an undisclosed amount, a top company executive told VCCircle.
The deal has been signed through AppPoint Ventures, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of AppPoint Software Solutions.
âWith AppPoint Ventures, we are looking at extending our partner network to establish an ecosystem of intelligent and connected solutions. We are pursuing several initiatives which would complement our efforts,â said Venki Muthanna, co-founder, AppPoint.
âHireCanvas with its technology and experienced leadership would accelerate our efforts to address this niche need, strengthening the companyâs offering,â he added.
HireCanvas is a platform that helps companies recruit top university talent. The companies use HireCanvas to save time coordinating their campus recruiting efforts, improve branding, understand return on investment (ROI) per event and engage candidates over time.
The company was founded by Scott Holand and Kevin George in 2014. It was part of the eighth batch of US seed-stage startup incubator AngelPad. Holand is an alumnus of New York University Stern Business School while George completed his BS in Computer Sciences and Business from Lehigh University.
AppPoint is headquartered in Bangalore and also has presence in the US, the UK and Australia through its partner network. AppPointâs business application AppsOnAzure simplifies and accelerates development and delivery of highly scalable SaaS solutions. Its flagship product BizAPP is an integrated development platform simplifying development of business management solutions which can be delivered on an OnPremise or SaaS model or on the cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft's Azure.
AppPoint was founded in 2005 by Muthanna, Rajasekar Shanmugam, Saravanan Kailasam and Chandrashekar Prabhakar. Prior to founding AppPoint, Muthanna was with Rational Software for over a decade and established several of Rationalâs product development teams in India.
In April 2016, Knolskape Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a gamification and simulation software firm operating in the talent transformation space, had raised an undisclosed amount in a Series A funding round from venture capital firm Inventus Capital Partners and human resources (HR)-focused private investment company The HR Fund.
