Apis Partners-backed digital insurer, RenewBuy on Thursday said it has appointed Nishant Mehta as the new chief business officer (CBO).
In his new role, Mehta will be responsible for driving new growth avenues for RenewBuy’s insurtech business model, the company said in a statement.
He will also chart the growth strategy, business plans and sales development frameworks, for achieving larger business goals of the company, it added.
Mehta comes with over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, where he handled roles, with exposure to agency, banca and direct sales.
He was with HDFC life Insurance, General Electric, Aviva Life Insurance, PNB MetLife, to name a few.
Mehta is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and holds an MBA in Marketing from Sikkim Manipal University.

Founded in 2015 by Balachander Sekhar and Indraneel Chatterjee, RenewBuy is a disruptive insurtech player providing choice and convenience to customers buying health, life and motor insurance products, delivered through a trusted network of insurance advisors.
In March, RenewBuy has onboarded Gautam Bansal as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
