Mumbai-based financial services firm Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd has appointed Alok Saigal as head of fixed income and 'savvy clients group' as part of its global wealth management unit, as per a press release.
Saigal will work under Anshu Kapoor, head-global wealth management, Edelweiss Financial Services.
He comes with over 12 years of experience in wealth advisory in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Edelweiss Financial, he was with Darashaw & Co where he was heading investment management and sales. His previous work experience also consists of a stint with HDFC Bank.
Saigal holds master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics.
Meanwhile, Edelweiss Financial Services posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 79.24 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2014, an increase of 71.96 per cent over Q2 FY14, with total revenues rising 57 per cent to Rs 915 crore in the same period.
Mumbai-based Edelweiss functions through four clusters—credit, financial markets & asset management, life insurance and commodities.
Earlier last month, the company had roped in Maneesha Jha Thakur from L&T Finance as group head, human resource.
