Angel investments and venture capital funding has spiked up the deals activity in the food and agricultural sector, buoying overall private investments, according to VCCEdge, the data research platform of VCCircle. So much so that the early stage investments in the sector now account for four in five deals. Check the interactive data sheet.
It is not just the transaction numbers that signals the wild swing in deal activity towards startups. The aggregate value of angel and VC investments in the sector accounted for just about half of the total private investor this year.
