Actor and entrepreneur Dino Morea has invested an undisclosed amount in Vertuals, a Mumbai-based digital content creator for brands.
Vertuals runs a digital storytelling platform for web, mobile and social content. It allows brands to market themselves better using compelling audio-visual stories told electronically.
âMoreaâs presence will help us extend both our outreach and impact within the current sectors as well as the new client sectors. With him, Vertuals is positioned to forge key media partnerships and enhance its internal capabilities,â said Amit Tripathi, director of Vertuals.
Tripathi is the managing director of IdeateLabs, a brand management and digital communications company. He is also a serial entrepreneur who has founded digital media companies such as Ibexis, Intentias and Triggerbridge.
Morea recently seed funded Unlaze, a yet-to-launch social networking app that allows users to connect with each other over common interests.
Lately, startups dealing with digital content creation and brand promotion have received a lot of investments. Recently, investment firm Tiger Global put in $10 million in online video entertainment venture The Viral Fever.
In September last year, Bangalore- and California-based data-driven publishing startup Quintype Inc raised $3.25 million (Rs 22 crore) from media entrepreneur- turned early stage investor Raghav Bahl among other unnamed investors.
