Devendra Chawla has resigned as the chief executive officer of Future Consumer Ltd, barely six months after taking over the role at the food and fast-moving consumer goods arm of Kishore Biyani-led Future Group.

Chawla’s last working day will be 31 July, the company said in a stock-exchange filing. Sadashiv Nayak, a member of the strategic business team at Future Group, will oversee the business as the interim head.

The company didn’t specify any reason for Chawla’s exit.
