Credit Suisse Group has made senior level appointments in its India investment banking arm. The firm has appointed Sughosh Moharikar and Samita Shah as managing directors of investment banking. They will be based in Mumbai. Moharikar, who joins from Kotak Mahindra Group, will handle M&A. He has spent 14 years in the business, while he was executive director and head of M&A at Kotak just prior to the current role.
Shah, who was a managing director and co-head of the Asia special situations team of Lehman Brothers Inc, will be looking after emerging large-cap client coverage at CS. Shah has also worked for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and ICICI Securities.
Besides, the firm has appointed Ashim Ahuja as a director in the same department. He will cover clients in the resources and infrastructure sectors. Ahuja was with Deutsche Bank AG as director, global corporate finance, and prior to that at HSBC Securities.
