Real estate services company CBRE Group has elevated Anshuman Magazine as chairman, India and Southeast Asia, the company said in a statement. He has so far been associated with the firm as chairman and managing director, South Asia.

Magazine, who is currently responsible for the India region, will now oversee operations across 13 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines, and manage over 10,000 employees, it said.

“The opportunity to lead CBRE across India and Southeast Asia is humbling. We have an exceptional team of professionals, a well-established footprint for growth and a strong proposition to help our clients achieve outstanding outcomes for their business,” said Magazine.

In his career spanning over 25 years, he has spent a greater portion of his professional life with CBRE. He played an instrumental role in setting up the India practice of the firm which now boats of over 5,500 employees, catering to a range of services.

Magazine is a part of CBRE’s Asia Pacific Strategic Group for over 15 years.

The development comes soon after its peer Cushman and Wakefield (C&W) saw a change of guard. The managing director of C&W Sanjay Dutt quit to join Ascendas-Singbridge while the erstwhile head of DTZ Anshul Jain was roped in to lead India operations of C&W.
