CleanseCar Washing and Repair Services Pvt. Ltd, a mobile application-based car wash service provider, has acquired Carnanny Solutions Pvt. Ltd in a stock deal.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The companies said in a statement that Carnanny’s entire team will join CleanseCar as part of the transaction. The transaction will help CleanseCar acquire access to the 32 societies to which Carnanny has been providing services in Mumbai, the statement added.

CleanseCar founder Kalyandhar Vinukonda further claimed that the acquisition had made the startup the market leader in its segment.

“This is one more step towards our goal of streamlining the car care industry,” Vinukonda added.

Separately, Carnanny co-founder Vikas Sankhla said CleanseCar would be able to use its scalable and environmentally-friendly services to organise an “unorganised sector”.

Founded in 2018 by Vinukonda and Pratibha Shalini, CleanseCar offers its customers services such as interior vacuum cleaning, interior detailing, rim dressing and dashboard and console cleaning. The company says it services up to 10,000 cars per day in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai, and that its technology has helped save six million litres of water during its first 10 months of operations.

The startup also has plans to expand Delhi, Kolkata and Pune by the end of the year, and intends to add services such as insurance and used car sales by 2020.

In 2018, the company raised $150,000 (around Rs 1.08 crore then) in seed funding from angel investor Dhianu Das.
