Jwalant Nanavati has joined BNP Paribas as co-head of corporate finance in India. Prior to this appointment, he was the director of investment banking at Deutsche Bank where his key responsibilities included M&A and capital markets. Based in Mumbai, he will now report to Ganeshan Murugaiyan, head of i-banking and strategic coverage at BNP Paribas India.
Nanavati brings over a decade of experience in investment banking and corporate finance. He was part of the team that set up Lehman Brothers’ office in Mumbai in early 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile. Nanavati was a vice-president at Lehman Brothers and a member of the core team who started the investment banking business of the firm in India.
