Terming the Budget pragmatic, PN Vijay, financial consultant and BJP spokesperson says big-bang reforms are like a time bomb and it is better to do what is doable.
“This government has a lot of plans and the politics of this is, wait till you get a clear majority in the Rajya Sabha,” he said.
He said efforts are taken through executive action to ensure that good steps are not held up due to Parliament logjam.
Sending a message to long-term institutional foreign investors, Vijay says India as a country never goes back on what it does. “We have seen governments run by opposition parties sticking to things that have been done and there is a consistency…we have never defaulted on any of the international obligations,” he said.
