How we picked the finalists
The companies were picked from the funded universe and then put through a screening to arrive at the Top 4 contenders for that category, which was evaluated on the basis of percentage growth in revenue, EBIDTA, PAT market share, and the impact on the industry.
The shortlisted nominations were then scrutinized for performance on a metric pegging the nomineeâs performance against industry-specific benchmarks and that of its peers. Financial performance was judged on a variety of parameters including growth in revenue and profitability, and their sustainability, and the return generated on the investment. Besides financial performance, companies were also assessed on certain qualitative aspects including corporate governance, brand, existing and estimated market share, disruptive & innovative models the companies have pioneered if any.
The final winner from each category will be announced at the award ceremony, which will be held on the eve of VCCircleâs flagship annual event VCCircle India Limited Partners Summit 2012 (February 15-16 at ITC Sheraton, Saket), which will see a gathering of top global limited partners, Indian private equity investors, and corporate chieftains. The participation in awards function is only by invitation. For more details, write to awards@vccircle.com
